Sonal Chauhan was born on 16 May 1985 in New Delhi, India.

She was Miss World Tourism 2005 at Miri, Sarawak state of Malaysia. She was also Miss India contestant. She is a model and now a Bollywood movie star. Sonal made her debut in Bollywood in 2008, in the movie Jannat (2008) opposite Emran Hashmi. The film was released on her birthday May 16, 2008.
