Despite previous reports telling otherwise, an expected public viewing of Michael Jackson’s body will not be happening this Friday at Neverland Ranch.

“Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland,” a rep told Us magazine.

Continuing on, the Jackson family spokesperson adds, “Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly.”

The latest rumors indicate that the Staples Center in Los Angeles may be the new venue.
